The year started off with some nice snow. Here we are on a Saturday snow walk.

By the end of January we went to Skåne for the first time this year. The main reason was to see Susanna’s cosine become a priest in the cathedral of Lund. This was also the starting point of our house search.

By middle of May we flew down again, our daughter taking all the precautions one has to take on a plane.

This time we went to look at houses. Johannes just had his first interview for a new job and we would need a place to stay if it worked out.

Summer came with a lot of joy! We would be leaving Stockholm soon. We had jobs in Malmö both of us and we had an apartment in Höör for the meantime until we found a house that suited us.

Now came a time of many goodbyes. One of them being the neighbour’s cat.

In July we got the keys to the apartment. Johannes flew down to pick them up and prepare the place for the move.

Being in the middle of moving we needed to get some holyday too. And off we went on a ship. Our daughter enjoyed the playground on deck.

The destination was Åland. We stayed there a couple of nights and just relaxed.

Then came the big move. We had decided to let a company do our moving. They came the day before the move and packed our belongings. We kept out of the way and when we returned in the evening we didn’t recognise our place.

The day after the big truck arrived. By early afternoon they told us it would be too small. Luckily they had a small one too so that they could take the rest of the things. Susanna and our daughter left in the morning to fly down and prepare our things arrival. Johannes stayed behind seeing to that everything got packed and cleaned nicely. Everything took really long and he left around dinnertime for Höör where he arrived just before midnight. Susanna and our daughter stayed at Susanna’s parents while Johannes slept the first night in the cupboard as it was the only room without windows.

In the beginning of August Markus was in Stockholm before he would take off for D.R. Congo. We went there to see him off.

And to do many other things like picking blueberrys.

As we went back home there were matters to attend to. Our TV was broken, but Johannes fixed it.

We didn’t stay home all the time though. We went to Oslo, were our daughter enjoyed a good run.

Back home our daughter turned two. One of the things she got was this tricycle. She was still a bit short for it but the handle in the back made it a fun toy anyway.

In the middle of October we went to Stockholm again to celebrate some birthdays. Lake Mälaren and its surroundings are so nice in autumn’s colours. We hadn’t been to Germany this year. We wanted to go but just hadn’t found the time for it. We had found a house and were planning a second move this year.

Johannes had a course in Karlsruhe and we seized the opportunity and went the weekend before and visited our relatives. Here we enjoyed a lovely breakfast.

Back home we had a few weeks to prepare for the move. This time we didn’t hire a company. We would have plenty of time as we had an overlap of two months. Here is a picture from when we just had bought the house. And we had bought a new car too, the yellow danger.

We managed to get some Christmas feeling in the midst of the moving chaos thanks to Oma and Opa. The main party wasn’t at our place though. This was an eventful year. Who would have thought? Hope you enjoyed the pictures.
